The Grand Forks Police Department says a HIGH RISK sex offender has found a new home in the city. Authorities say Michael McGee currently resides at 625 North 5th Street. It’s the second time in a matter of weeks that the GFPD has updated his whereabouts. McGee was convicted in 2003 of aggravated sexual assault for entering a woman’s bedroom and assaulting the victim. The GFPD notifies the public on the status of sex offenders to comply with state laws. There are currently 103 offenders living…working…or attending school in Grand Forks. The list includes 12 are so-called level three “high risk” offenders.
